First experience in visiting F1 - Gran Premio de Espana 2014

It is expensive
- Except you are Roman Abramovich or Sheik al Mansoor, you can not afford to watch this game biweekly. 1500 euro is needed to visit the paddock club, for example.
- Buy the ticket from re-seller, not from F1 website itself. Surprisingly, it is cheaper! Except this time, I got a pretty F1 ticket holder. If you buy from F1 website, you still need to pick up te ticket which is quite difficult to find around the circuit.
- The cheapest option is to do the general admission, for about 150 euro/ 3 days. You can sit on the grass, but do come early.

What to bring
- Binocular. The happenings happen at 1 km distance from you. 12x magnification is at least needed.
- Bring your own food and drink, it is allowed. There are also food counters in the circuit, but the queques are sometime really long.
- For circuit de catalunia (in May), bring sunscreen and a pullover (just in case).

How to get there
- There are buses from downtown Barcelona to the circuit, it costs you about 10 euro one way.
- Yet, the nicest, I think, to feel the atmosphere by going by train (Passeig de Gracia and Clot from Barcelona) to a village called Montmelo. From the station, you can walk to the circuit together with thousands of fans. Please do remember, it is a long wal of 30 minutes.
- If you need to pick up your ticket, you should bring the voucher and go to gate 6 where the media accrediation center is located (still 250 m from this gate actually, hidden behind the trees and parking lot). This is an counter argument to buy the ticket from the website.

How does it feel?
- Great, even though it does not like football or basketball games, where there are shows.
- I sat in tribune C where I can see the car passed by 3 times. However, the action only happened in the first laps. Afterwhile, Hamilton and Rosberg were too good for the rest.
- After the race, do not go home directly, walk around in the circuit (it is allowed). Get a glimpse of Hamilton, smell the brakes leftover. Anyway, I left 2 hours after the race finished and the queque was still quite long in Montmelo train station.
